The Human Rights Review is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing critical thought and scholarly research on pressing human rights issues. The Human Rights Review started off as an annual publication of the Center in 2012 in collaboration with the American Bar Association. Since then eight volumes of the journal have been published online and in hard copy, with Volume IX currently under review for publication in 2025.
Welcoming contributions from both students and professionals, the journal aims to promote legal scholarship and create an environment that facilitates dialogue on human rights issues and criminal justice reform in Pakistan. The journal has received widespread support from High Court Judges in Lahore, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and leading law firms.

The Human Rights Review aims to publish articles of the highest integrity and editorial standard. We welcome critical and thought-provoking submissions that help demonstrate deep research and knowledge presented in a professional way that promotes a constructive discussion of the issue at hand.

The Journal is run by a dedicated team of editors and researchers consisting of both students and professionals.
Review Process:
We consider each submission we receive through an extensive review process, including for the first time and international peer-reviewing. Each submission is reviewed thoroughly by our team; this includes a plagiarism check, reviewing citations, and editing. Each submission is edited and checked by more than one member of the editorial team. We do not communicate with the author during the review process. If a submission does not pass the review, our team will reach out to the author as soon as possible.
