16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2021

In 2021, to mark the first day of the 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women, CFHR successfully drafted and implemented a Harassment Policy for Universal College Lahore, Pakistan. This policy stands as a significant milestone in ensuring safer learning environments and setting a strong precedent for anti-harassment measures in academic spaces.

Since 2019, CFHR has been dedicated to creating safe and inclusive educational institutions, ensuring that students, faculty, and staff have access to protective policies and mechanisms against harassment and gender-based violence. Through ongoing efforts, we continue to advocate for stronger institutional safeguards that uphold dignity, equality, and safety in learning spaces. Our work further extends to:

  1. Empowering Women Through Legal Awareness: CFHR launched the Guide to Pro-Women Legislation in Pakistan, an educational series designed to inform and empower women. The series provides a comprehensive overview of Pakistani laws addressing sexual violence, workplace harassment, forced marriages, and economic rights, equipping women with the knowledge to understand their legal protections and access justice.
  2. Advancing the #HeForShe Movement: As part of our commitment to gender equality, CFHR actively mobilized youth volunteers during the 16 Days of Activism to challenge gender stereotypes, build allyship, and encourage both men and women to take action against gender-based violence through online and in-person engagement.
  3. Advocating for #SafeSpaces4Youth: CFHR continues to push for safe spaces in educational institutions, workplaces, and public environments, ensuring they remain free from violence, discrimination, and harassment. By integrating policy reforms, legal education, and community engagement, we work towards a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
