Preventing Smuggling of Migrants from Pakistan to Malaysia (2024)
CFHR has conducted a comprehensive study on irregular and legal migration patterns between Pakistan and Malaysia. This report:
- Analyzes regular and irregular migration trends from Pakistan to Malaysia, with a focus on violence, abuse, and human rights violations faced by migrants.
- Examines demand-side and supply-side drivers of migration, including abuses and violations against migrants.
- Identifies legal gaps and challenges in migration policies.
- Provides recommendations to enhance regular migration opportunities and reduce irregular migration.
This research aims to support evidence-based policy interventions and inform national and regional responses to migrant smuggling.
CFHR has also conducted research and advocacy on Smuggling of Migrants, Trafficking in Persons and Firearms Trafficking.
