This Fact Sheet provides key insights from the Diagnostic Study of Nikkahnamas in Punjab: A Review of Women's Marriage Rights.

The Centre for Human Rights (CFHR) developed the Diagnostic Study in collaboration with Musawi Private Limited, the National Commission for Human Rights and international partner the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, under the project titled 'Protecting Women's Marriage Rights in Pakistan.' A special thanks is extended to the Local Government (Lahore & Sahiwal) and the Deputy Commissioner Office (Lahore) for their support in data collection for the Diagnostic Study.
