Inter-Provincial Consultation on Women's Marriage Rights in Pakistan

This report captures insights from a national consultation co-hosted by CFHR and Musawi, with support from ABA ROLI. Held in August 2023, the event brought together over 200 participants, including judges, lawmakers, lawyers, students, and activists, from across Pakistan. Key sessions featured discussions on minority women’s marriage rights, barriers in family law, strategic litigation, and the findings from CFHR’s Diagnostic Study on Nikahnamas. It also explored gaps in legal education and showcased bold advocacy campaigns. This resource offers a roadmap for reform, and a snapshot of where the conversation stands today.
