This project focused on understanding the unique struggles faced by displaced women and girls due to climate change, including access to resources, security, and legal protections.
Understanding the Anthropocene The Impact of Urbanization on Wildlife and the Environment in Punjab
Students researched the effects of rapid urbanization in Punjab on local wildlife and the broader environmental consequences, examining how urban development disrupts ecosystems.
Disenfranchisement and Its Implications on Voting Rights of Marginalized Groups
This research delved into the disenfranchisement of marginalized communities, including women, transgender persons, ethno-religious minorities, refugees, and stateless individuals, highlighting the barriers they face in exercising their right to vote and participate in democratic processes.
Thematic Clinic on Gender-Based Violence (2018-2019)
In 2018, CFHR and Arizona State University launched a clinic on gender-based violence in Pakistan, equipping students with research and advocacy skills. Students focused on maternal mortality, the two-finger test, economic costs of violence, and transgender rights, culminating in policy briefs and a visit to Mahidol University in Thailand.
CFHR's Human Rights Clinic bridges legal education and practice. Students tackle gender-based violence, refugee rights, and more, gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and skills to combat inequality in Pakistan.
CFHR's Marriage Rights Clinic trains law students to uphold women's marriage rights in Pakistan, using Nikkahnama expertise & combating disinformation.
