Bystander Action Campaign

Too often, harassment, sexism, and violence against women unfold in everyday situations while bystanders remain unsure of how to respond. Many question whether it is appropriate to intervene in incidents they are not directly involved in. Through our Bystander Action Campaign, CFHR raised awareness on the role of Active Bystanders in preventing harassment and violence against women. This social media campaign encouraged individuals to call out perpetrators of street harassment and helped promote a culture of trust, safety, and respect in public spaces.

Myth vs. Reality

Challenging Gender Stereotypes: Building on our Myth vs. Reality campaign from 2019, we continued to debunk harmful myths surrounding GBV, discrimination, and harassment in Pakistan. Our social media series challenged deeply ingrained patriarchal beliefs and provided a female-centric perspective to help communities unlearn stereotypes. By shedding light on the realities of women’s lived experiences, this initiative aimed to dismantle misconceptions that contribute to their exclusion and marginalization.

HeForShe Campaign 2020

As part of our efforts to engage young men in the fight for gender equality, CFHR concluded the 16 Days of Activism with the HeForShe Campaign 2020. Law students from our Human Rights Clinic organized virtual events to discuss harassment and violence against women in Pakistan, encouraging critical conversations on the role of men as allies in combating GBV. Between 2019-2020, CFHR has mobilized 350 individuals in Pakistan to pledge their commitment to the HeForShe movement, reinforcing the importance of collective action in achieving gender justice.

Through these initiatives, CFHR continues to challenge societal norms, promote gender-sensitive discourse, and advocate for safer, more inclusive communities.
