Nikahnama Checklist

As part of the Ijaazat Campaign, CFHR created this step-by-step checklist to help women and families prepare for the Nikahnama process with confidence. The checklist outlines key actions to take in the month and week before the wedding, from getting a copy of the Nikahnama in advance to confirming key details with the Nikkah Khawan. It highlights what each column in the contract means and explains how to safeguard rights like dower (haq maher), delegated divorce, and monthly maintenance.
