Human Rights & Social Justice
Gender-based Violence

Gender-based violence (GBV) remains one of the most pervasive human rights violations worldwide, affecting millions of women and girls across all communities. It undermines their safety, dignity, and opportunities while perpetuating cycles of inequality and discrimination.

At the CFHR, gender justice is a cornerstone of our mission. Since our inception, we have prioritized addressing GBV through research, advocacy, and community engagement to push for systemic change and accountability. In 2019, we formalized our commitment by establishing a dedicated GBV research mandate under the Human Rights Clinic.

Our Work

We have published in-depth reports and policy papers analyzing the challenges faced by women and transgender communities in Pakistan, shaping evidence-based reforms.

Community Awareness & Education

Through targeted campaigns, we empower local communities with knowledge of gender rights, legal protections, and civic responsibilities.

Capacity Building & Legal Support

We collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen legal frameworks and improve access to justice for survivors of gender-based violence.
